[DANDOM-NYC] Set times?

Dear Donald S. Bloom
THANK YOU for sharing...I have long felt that, in only the rarest of
circumstances, is an opening act ever worth cutting into the time allotted
to the featured band.  And in a lifetime of attending concerts, ONLY TWICE
that I've witnessed said rarity in action:

Los Lonely Boys opening for Carlos Santana
Ottmar Liebert opening for Basia

Although I have HEARD of some legendary opening act combos, including:
Jimi Hendrix for The Monkees
Bruce Springsteen opening for Anne Murray (who was then abandoned by the
majority of the audience when they realized how "un Bruce" her music was

So tonight, I will "spend" more time at the Amsterdam Ale House, revelling
in the DanFest: "I recall when I was small, how I spent my days alone..."
