Hello NE Ohio Dandom,
Checking back to say hello and see if we can't get ourselves organized for
the pre-show fun we are sure to have as we share libations (I'm thinking
Cuban Breezes) prior to the SD shows on 11/16 and 11/17. Looks like we have
narrowed things down to two spots thus far. The Barley House and/or 69 Taps.
Both on South Main close to EJ Thomas Hall. Thanks to my new friend
Margaret for some thoughts. See, we are already making new friends and
planning fun! I hope more will join.
Again, any ideas or recommendations are welcome. Unless we get some
alternative ideas going soon, I think it will be appropriate to just make
the call for one of these two spots and set a time within the next day or
two. Is there Gas in the Car? Yes, there's Gas in the car, so let's get
with it!!!!
And for those looking for perhaps a little extra tasty treat, here goes.
A very good friend of mine from College (OU Baby!!!) (Harvard on the Hocking
is playing at Annabell's, West Market (Highland Square) on Sunday night. He
has a very good buddy who is touring with SD. I believe he does something to
support Walter Becker. I met him and several other guys touring with the
band (Soundboard, lighting etc) in Seattle. All very cool cats.
Long story short, the Tour rolls in on Sunday and a number of the crew will
be heading over to Annabell's for what is being called a pre, pre-Dan Party.
My friend in the band was told to bring extra instruments!!!!!! Have no idea
what that means or who would show but could be a nice surprise (Jon H, Keith
C??). Anyways, no promises but it might just be a real occasion. No, it's
not Anthony's Bar and Grill, but it is the famous Annabell's of Akron.
Sunday, November 15th. I believe 6pm to 12am. My buddy is at
www.colinjohnband.com.
